If you have applied to attend the 2008 Melbourne Graduation Ceremony you must confirm your attendance online by Friday 24 October 2008. Applications to attend this ceremony have now closed.
If you believe that you are eligible to graduate, you are responsible for advising the University that you wish to graduate and receive your award (certificate). You need to apply to graduate and choose to either attend a ceremony, or graduate in absentia (receiving your certificate by mail).
If you need a statement that confirms you have completed your program before you receive your testamur (certificate), you can apply for a Statement of Academic Completion (SAC). The cost for a SAC is $18 per copy.
Graduation at a ceremony
If you wish to graduate at a ceremony you can attend either the Melbourne Graduation Ceremony in December or one of the offshore graduation ceremonies in September.
Note: If you have outstanding results or credit transfers you will be excluded from participation in a graduation ceremony.
Graduation in absentia
If you do not wish to attend a graduation ceremony, you still need to apply to graduate so that you can be conferred (graduate) in absentia. RMIT confers in absentia on the last working day of each month subject to your school confirming that you have completed your program. Your certificate will be posted to you by registered mail approximately six weeks after your conferral date.
