Addressing selection criteria

Coupled with their resume/CV and cover letter, key selection criteria provides applicants with the opportunity to answer specific criterion, demonstrating their suitability to individual positions. This selection criterion will then be used by the selection panel as a further tool in assessing applicants throughout the recruitment process.
Am I required to address the selection criteria?
