What is Justice and how do we measure it? What are its most important qualities? Is an effective justice system one that simply processes matters efficiently and impartially, or should its responsibilities be broader than that? The CIJ's current work to develop a Justice Index will encourage all jurisdictions to take a more innovative and meaningful approach to the way in which justice is not only delivered and measured, but ultimately experienced by those who most need its help.
