The Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) is the national policy for Australian qualifications in vocational and higher education.
The AQF was introduced across the tertiary education sector between 2011 and 2015.
From 1 January 2015, all new RMIT University students have been undertaking programs that comply with AQF standards.
Most of RMIT’s qualifications issued before 2015 were already consistent with the AQF.
AQF qualifications are valued by industry locally and internationally, and RMIT’s commitment to the AQF gives our students an advantage in seeking employment.
Under the AQF, some postgraduate programs have a longer duration. You may be eligible for exemptions for previous learning. For more information, check program details iin your area of interest.
