The Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) is the national policy on Australian qualifications in vocational and higher education.
The AQF is in the process of being rolled out across the tertiary education sector, with employers and professional organisations increasingly requiring qualifications consistent with the AQF.
AQF qualifications are valued by industry and internationally.
Most RMIT University qualifications are already consistent with the AQF, giving our students an advantage in seeking employment.
By 2015, all new students will be studying for RMIT qualifications which comply with AQF standards.

Under revisions to the AQF, some postgraduate programs have a longer duration. You may be eligible for exemptions for previous learning. Check with the relevant school for the program for which you wish to apply.
