Celebrating 30 Years 1976 ~ 2006___________

A number of animated films produced by students and graduates of AIM were screened at this year's MELBOURNE INTERNATIONAL ANIMATION FESTIVAL (MIAF). "Kaulah" (above) by Sam Samai, and "Life Is Sweet" by Ray Lu, appeared in the Australian Panorama screening together with an animation "1956" by AIM research graduate, Annemarie Szeleczky. MIAF's Graduate Student Program included "Beneath The Poppies" by Paul Garry, "Minor Criminal Investigations" by Moon Sun Lee, "Love Triangle" by Reece Schubert and "What Do You Reckon Grustov" by Amy Thomas. A stop-motion promotional animation for one of the festival's sponsors, Crumpler, was created by Nicholas Kallincos, 2000 AIM graduate.
