About the School of Applied Communication

RMIT University’s School of Applied Communication offers a wide range of programs and courses in:

Public lecture series

Our staff and postgraduate students engage in research in a diverse range of communication, design, and cultural areas. Our varied publications address both scholarly and more general audiences

Academic conferences and symposia form a key part of the School’s contribution to scholarly dialogue.

AFI Research Collection


The AFI Research Collection is an important national archive housing a diverse collection of Australian and international resources in film and television. It is a valued part of the School and gives both students and the general public access to books and journals, as well as documents of significant historical interest.
