Nasya Bahfen lectures in the journalism program at RMIT where she is also an academic advisor and work placement coordinator. Nasya still works as an editor, reporter, producer and presenter with ABC Radio Australia. Her work has been broadcast on ABC Radio National and ABC Newsradio. Her industry background in journalism includes print, radio and online. She has worked at SBS Radio and MediaCorp (the former Singapore Broadcasting Corporation) and helped set up Melbourne’s first indigenous radio station 3KND. Nasya has taught journalism or communication subjects at Monash, UTS, Deakin and RMIT in Melbourne and offshore. She was awarded her PhD from UTS in 2009.
