Qualification statements and statements of attainment
A qualification statement is issued when you complete a TAFE qualification. Qualification statements may not include competencies or modules completed before 2002.
A statement of attainment is issued for partial completion of a TAFE qualification, or for completion of a RMIT University or industry-based skill set. Statements of attainment may not include competencies or modules completed before 2002. A statement of attainment for an RMIT University or industry-based skill set is issued after you complete the requirements of the skill set. You will receive your statement of attainment six to eight weeks after completing the skill set.
Qualification statements and statements of attainment include the units of competency achieved under nationally endorsed standards, or modules achieved under the nationally endorsed curriculum. Achievements listed are recognised within the Australian Qualifications Framework
Registered Training Organisation (RTO) Skill Set statements of attainment are RMIT University specific and do not contain the Nationally Recognised Training logo.
Note: Prior to 2010 qualification statements for completed TAFE qualifications were known as statements of attainment.
Obtain your qualification statement
A qualification statement is issued after you are conferred to your TAFE award. If you attend the Melbourne Graduation Ceremony in December you will receive your qualification statement in March of the following year. If you graduate in absentia you will receive your qualification statement six weeks after your award is conferred.

Obtain your statement of attainment
If you do not wish to complete your program you can obtain a statement of attainment by emailing soa@rmit.edu.au with the following information:
- your student number
- your date of birth
- your program code(s)
Please note your statement of attainment will be sent to your enrolled mailing address.
Please allow 5 working days for processing. A qualification statement or statement of attainment will not be produced if you owe a financial debt to the University.
