Please note that RMIT University Library reserves the right, where necessary to:

  • Restrict items in high demand to a shorter loan period without prior notice, and
  • Recall an item by issuing a Library Recall Notice, giving the new due date the item is to be returned by.

Visit your campus Library and we will register you on the spot. Bring your staff or access card. Your card will remain valid while you are employed at RMIT.

You will have full access to our Library collections and you can also apply for a CAVAL card if you wish to borrow from other academic libraries.

Single course

You need to obtain a Special borrower card. Bring the Confirmation of enrolment letter with you to the Service Desk. Your student card is valid for the duration of your course.

RMIT English Worldwide (REW)

Borrow from any RMIT University Library by presenting a current REW student card at the Service Desk. Your card will remain valid until the expiry date indicated on the card.

Registration

Bring a current staff or student card, along with an authorised CAVAL card (issued by your home library), to the Service Desk for registration.

Identification

Provide a photo ID (e.g. driver’s license) and proof of your current enrolment (your student/staff card) to the staff at the Service Desk for registration.

Registration

Present your current U3A student card at any Service Desk and we will arrange a special borrower card. Allow 24 hours for processing.
