This information is for the RMIT University students in Australia who are studying in external mode, and for remote students who reside outside Met Zone 2 or in states other than Victoria.
As a remote or external student you may obtain books, copies of articles, conference papers, and book chapters (delivered electronically to your desktop) through the Document Delivery Services.
Books will be mailed out to you upon request. The Library pays the outward postage while you pay for the return postage. Please return by Registered Post. Copies of journal articles, conference papers and book chapters will be delivered electronically to your desktop.
The Library endeavours to provide a one-week turnaround time for all loans, however this may not always be possible.
Postal loans may also be picked up and returned in person to the RMIT University Library specified on your request.
The initial loan period for remote and external students is 4 weeks, and then normal loan periods apply. Please remember that it is your responsibility to return library materials by the due date.

The CAVAL Reciprocal Borrowing Program allows you to borrow items from other Victorian academic libraries. Obtain your CAVAL card and information brochure from the Loans Desk at any of our seven sites.
