Citation Linker – frequently asked questions

What is Citation Linker?

If you know which journal issue or article you are looking for, Citation Linker will help you find it quickly. If the Library provides access to the journal or article online, Citation Linker will link directly to the journal or full text of the article. If not available online, links are provided to locate them in other ways.

How do I find an article from my reading list/bibliography?

Enter as many details into the Citation Linker as you can:

  • Under the heading ‘Required information’, enter at least the title of the journal and the year of publication or ISSN if you have it
  • Under the heading ‘Additional information’, enter details such as the article title, volume/issue/page numbers and author’s name
  • Click on the ‘Go’ button

A pop-up window will display options for viewing. If the Library holds the article follow the link/s to the full text.

How do I find a journal title or journal issue?

If you want to browse for a journal title enter the journal name under “Required information” then click on the ‘Go’ button. If you prefer to browse the contents of a particular issue of a journal, add the year/month/date for that issue.
