RMIT has access to both the ACMI and NFSA collections. This greatly expands the range of DVD, video and 16mm films available to you for teaching purposes. You can book titles from these collections:
ACMI (Australian Center for the Moving Image), based in Melbourne, has a huge range of videos, DVDs and 16mm films. It includes rare experimental works, old favorites, as well as an extensive collection of new releases, short films, classics, documentaries and TV programs.
NFSA (National Film and Sound Archive) in Canberra holds Australia's recorded image and sound recording heritage. Since 2004, NFSA has also held the National Film and Video Lending Service (NFVLS) collection; Australia's largest non-commercial screen library that has over 16,000 holdings on 16mm film, video.
Library viewing rooms, and seminar rooms are not available as general teaching or meeting spaces. Property Services offer rooms you can book for these purposes.
