Equitable assessments and alternative assessments guidelines

RMIT has developed the following Equitable Assessment Arrangements Policy to provide a clear university-wide policy on equitable assessment arrangements for students who require adaptations to the conditions of assessment tasks.

In addition Alternative Assessment Guidelines have also been developed to assist staff in developing an alternative forms of assessment.

Enabling students with print disability

Legislation

Disability Standards for Education were formulated under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 and have been in place since 2005. The Standards clarify the obligations of education and training providers to ensure that students with disabilities are able to access and participate in education without experiencing discrimination.

Information Technology Accessibility Working Group (ITAWG)
