SciFinder

SciFinder includes both the Chemical Abstracts and Medline databases, and provides the most accurate and comprehensive chemical and related scientific information including: journal articles, patents, substance data, chemical reactions and regulatory data, chemical suppliers and biomedical literature. It covers literature from the following disciplines:

  • Chemical engineering
  • Polymer engineering
  • Physics
  • Metallurgical engineering
  • Pharmaceutical sciences
  • Medicine
  • Occupational health and safety
  • Sports engineering

Access option 1: SciFinder web version (6 concurrent users)

SciFinder web version is the full version of SciFinder formerly available only to commercial subscribers. It offers features not available in the client version, including alerting services.

You need to register first to access the web version of SciFinder. After completing the registration form you will receive an email asking you to confirm your registration by clicking on the link provided in the email. The email link is valid for a short time only so be sure to confirm your registration as soon as you receive the email.

Access option 2: SciFinder Scholar client version is no longer available

The client version of SciFinder was discontinued at RMIT University on 30 November 2011. For further information, please contact your liaison librarian.
