Orientation 2008 - A window to student life at RMIT.

An informative and entertaining RMIT Orientation 2008 ran from February 4 to March 7, 2008.

Five colourful and fun festival days were coordinated for five campuses; Carlton, Brunswick, Bundoora, City and Bourke Street.

Highlights included; free BBQ and soft drinks, club demonstrations by ITF - Tae Kwon Do Club and Cheerleading, a caricaturist, a palm reader, free massage and a temporary tattooist marquee. The festival days introduced students to a wide range of student services, sport and social clubs, student associations as well as external service providers.

First year Design Student, Marcus Ballinger said the City festival day was good, “a lot of information…free food and drinks was a good surprise”

RMIT Orientation 2008 presented Know Your RMIT – an essential, comprehensive introduction to Information Technology, Emergency Response and the campuses at RMIT University.

One hundred and forty three fantastic returning students took part in the Orientation Volunteer Program to assist in the coordination of RMIT Orientation 2008.
