Housing Advisory Service //

About the service

The RMIT Housing Advisory Service provides information, advice and assistance on the accommodation options available to students and other housing related matters.

The Housing Advisory Service is unable to prearrange accommodation for students. We provide information on housing so that students can choose the type of accommodation that best suits their individual requirements.

Finding accommodation that is affordable, close to the campus you are attending and appropriate to your personal lifestyle is essential to your academic success.

We offer a free tenancy service to provide students with information on their legal rights and obligations as a tenant. We can assist with issues such as:

  • Starting a tenancy
  • Lease agreements
  • Condition reports
  • Bonds and the Bond Loan Scheme
  • Shared households
  • Breaking or ending a lease
  • Getting your bond back
  • Other tenancy problems that students may encounter.
