Confidential and independent review of unresolved complaintsThe Role of the University OmbudsRMIT aims to ensure that all student and staff complaints or concerns are dealt with in a fair, equitable and appropriate manner. The RMIT Ombuds provides an avenue of confidential and independent review for staff and students who have unresolved complaints. The Ombuds is not an advocate but aims to mediate and conciliate disputes with a focus on systemic improvement. The Ombuds is also an accredited dispute resolution practitioner with extensive academic and administrative experience in the tertiary education sector. Contact informationThe easiest way to contact the Ombuds is to email or phone with your complaint. The Ombuds will contact you once your complaint is received to either talk with you on the phone about your complaint or ask you in for an interview.
