Chancellor to speak on Energy and the Environment

RMIT University Chancellor, Dr Ziggy Switkowski, will be speaking at Ernst & Young as part of the RMIT Business Lecture Series later this month.

The lecture, entitled "Energy and the Environment - Challenges Ahead", has been arranged by the Enterprise Group within RMIT's College of Business.

The Enterprise Group works across RMIT to implement programs to foster innovation and entrepreneurship for students, staff and alumni. It has strong links with the business and government sectors.

Dr Switkowski is in high demand as a speaker and commentator.

He has been Chairman of the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation and has a PhD in nuclear physics.

Recently, Dr Switkowski appeared on Big Ideas on ABC Radio National, discussing nuclear power as part of the Committee for Economic Development of Australia's (CEDA) Cost of Carbon series.

Dr Switkowski also participated in Swinburne's Chancellor's Lecture Series, hosted by the Chancellor, Bill Scales AO.

The Governor of Victoria, Alex Chernov AO QC, installed Dr Switkowski as RMIT University Chancellor in a ceremony at RMIT's Storey Hall in May.
