Student Profile: Nigel Jansz

Nigel Jansz

Nigel Jansz, MBA student

Master of Business Administration (2005)
Data Services, Institutional Markets & Services, National Australia Bank

“Studying the MBA has been a journey of discovery. During the first semester, you can find it difficult to get the balance between family, work and studies but after a few months you tend to know what is required and expected of you. You then settle into the course and focus on each individual assignment or exam.

To undertake the program and get the most out of it, you need:

  • a supportive family
  • a supportive employer
  • good time management skills
  • to stay focused and keen
  • to have an idea of what you want to get out of it.”

Nigel has over ten years experience in the finance industry with five years specialising in systems development and project management of the technical and operational aspects of contact centres and CRM strategy and implementation. He is currently working in a management role within the Institutional business of the National Australia Bank.

Nigel chose to study an MBA to develop a wider knowledge of business having come from a computer science background.
