Student Profile: Peter Woodgate Peter Woodgate, Doctor of Business Administration (2005) Doctor of Business Administration (2005) “Studying the RMIT DBA is an excellent opportunity to obtain advanced business management skills. The concentration on new knowledge that is brought to bear by the lecturers cannot be obtained in any other way. I have already been able to apply this knowledge to very good effect in my professional life.” Currently in his final year, Peter is the Chief Executive Officer of the Cooperative Research Centre for Spatial Information, a $78 million investment by more than 50 partners from industry, government and university sectors across Australia. Prior to taking this role, he was the Chief Executive Officer at the Geospatial Science Initiative at RMIT University, where he helped create RMIT’s first spin off company, Spatial Vision Innovations Pty Ltd, the Risk & Community Safety Research Centre and the Global Sustainability Institute. His qualifications include a Master of Applied Science (UNSW), Bachelor of Forestry Science (University of Melbourne) and Diploma of Forestry (Vic School of Forestry). He has a passion for forest management, salinity research, greenhouse and the use of remote sensing for monitoring natural resources.
