Educational Strategy

The School of Management aims to:

  • develop School strategies that support actively the strategies of RMIT Business and RMIT University in general;
  • develop a strategic and innovative mix of relevant programs and student-centred delivery methods that meet a clearly targeted market demand both in Australia and overseas;
  • implement in practice the management skills and approaches that we seek to impart to others;
  • run the School in a viable and financially responsible manner;
  • offer a high and continuously-improving quality service in all that we undertake;
  • provide opportunities for all staff to observe, study and practice management in Australia and overseas;
  • ensure that academic and administrative staff are committed to the practice of life-long learning, researching and consulting, and are given opportunities to undertake relevant training and development;
  • offer opportunities for all academic and administrative staff to develop their teaching, professional, research and consulting interests; and
  • establish an environment where all staff are given the autonomy, authority and responsibility to achieve their work goals and values of the school.
