About the School of Management

Mission

The School of Management helps create sustainable and ethical business practices through education and training programs, and associated research and consultancies, in Australia and offshore. It does this primarily through its programs in management, entrepreneurship, human resource management and international business. It endeavours to meet the work related higher education requirements of the market.

Overview of the School

The School of Management has 60 members of staff: 50 academic staff (including five members of the professoriate), and 10 professional support staff. It is currently located on the Melbourne City Campus of RMIT University on Bourke Street and will soon be moving to the new Swanston Academic Building (SAB) on Swanston Street, which will offer fantastic new innovative teaching and learning spaces.

The School offers four Bachelor programs by both full-time and part-time modes (please note part-time study is not available for international students). In addition, it offers a number of double degrees in conjunction with the College of Science, Engineering and Health. There are more than 5,500 students enrolled with the School in Melbourne and across Asia, where its programs are offered in Singapore, Hong Kong, China and Vietnam.

The School of Management also offers Master and Doctoral (PhD) programs by research.

Staff at the School engage in both research and practice, partnering with industry to solve business problems, consulting with government to inform policy, and working for not-for-profit organisations. The School also supports the work of the Centre for Sustainable Organisations and Work (CSOW).
