The program develops your knowledge, enterprising capabilities, and confidence thus helping you to identify opportunities and create and build your own ventures. In so doing you will be provided with the ability to significantly enhance the global economic capacity of Australia and Australians. If you have a dream to one day establish your own business or other entrepreneurial venture then this program enables you to achieve this whilst completing a degree in business with all the theoretical study required to grow and take full advantage of your opportunity. Considerable theoretical emphasis is placed on the discipline areas of strategy, marketing, finance and HRM and management however this is done in the context of helping students understand how to shape and develop a business venture. The program also focuses on developing an understanding and practice of ethical behaviour. Throughout the program you will be exposed to the ideas and strategies of Australia’s newest and established entrepreneurs. You will also work in teams to create and develop joint business venture concepts. In the final year, under the guidance and mentoring of both academic staff and ‘coaches’ drawn from business and industry, you are taught how to operationalise new ventures. |
