Scholarship of Learning and Teaching
The DSC Academic Development team offers a dynamic learning and teaching consultancy services tailored to meet your individual or group professional development needs. We understand that different staff will require different supports and interventions. Helping assess needs and then collaboratively design the most effective response is a crucial part of the service we offer.
In supporting professional development, the Academic Development team aims to:
Simply contact your school’s Learning and Teaching liaison person to discuss your issue. Following are examples of how we can assist:
Speak with your Learning and Teaching Liaison person to discuss your learning needs and we will work with you on the best approach. We may tailor a development program specifically for you or we may link you to existing workshops and/or resources.
These meetings offer Learning &Teaching chairs and directors and other invited guests the opportunity to discuss and share information regarding relevant and topical L&T issues. The meetings occur about six times per year and aim to provide a “community of practice” for knowledge sharing and debate.
