School of Natural and Built Environments, University of South Australia

UniSA was founded on 1 January 1991 through the amalgamation of the South Australian Institute of Technology and the Magill, Salisbury and Underdale campuses of the South Australian College of Advanced Education. Since then, it has quickly earned a reputation as a national leader in collaborative research, has been recognised nationally for innovation in teaching and has South Australia's largest intake of international students.

The School of Natural and Built Environments at UniSA focuses on the unique relationships and synergies between natural and built environments and has a particular interest in teaching and research to support improved environmental and socio-economic sustainability for the future. The vision of the school is to be recognised nationally and internationally for creative and effective teaching and research in sustainability, whilst providing excellent professional and industry focussed education in the various disciplines.

Centre for Design RMIT

The Centre for Design at RMIT promotes sustainability through active dissemination and professional development in research, consulting, and capacity building. The Centre is recognised internationally for innovative design methods and tools to support sustainable design of products and services – everything from packaging and consumer products to buildings, suburbs and cities. As Australia’s key node of activity in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), the Centre is dedicated to all aspects of achieving environmental sustainability outcomes, and undertakes fundamental research to inform policy and practice to this end. The Centre for Design (CfD) is currently based in the Portfolio of Design and Social Content at RMIT’s city campus in Melbourne. RMIT is one of Australia's largest and most respected technical and design universities.
