Design for Sustainability
“Each decision a designer makes may be replicated hundreds of thousands of times, and may shape the realities of those who engage with their creations. Unfortunately, many designers are part of the sustainability problem. Through ignorance, cost-cutting, aesthetics, client priorities, or other reasons, products often waste energy and resources, and promote unsustainable lifestyles. It can be different. The Sustainable Products and Packaging group have been involved in the development and delivery of Design for Sustainability programs and seminars since CfD’s inception. We continue to develop educational programs, and industry orientated seminars to assist in integrating sustainability into existing industry.
