Youth leadership for sustainable communities

otherWISE provides youth training and supports young people to take action and demonstrate leadership towards more sustainable lifestyles and local communities, with the support of their community.

Since 2006, otherWISE has engaged several hundred young people across Australia, helping them to discover for themselves the changes which are most meaningful for them and to act as agents of change.

Who runs the program?
The program is run in partnership with RMIT University and the International Young Professionals Foundation (IYPF), an Australian youth-led organisation, and is part of an Australian Research Council funded research project.

Who can be involved?

• local governments
• NGOs
• research centres
• schools, industry groups, businesses and interested individuals

are welcome to participate and support their local youth.
