University Mobility in the Asia Pacific Scholarships to China

Young Australian Ambassadors Delegation 2012 to China

Every year, the Australian Government provides support for Australian students to immerse themselves in the academic, social and cultural aspects of other countries through the International Student Exchange Program (ISEP) scholarships which are administered by the Department of Industry, Innovation, Science, Research and Tertiary Education (DIISRTE).

The Young Australian Ambassadors Delegation (YAAD) program at RMIT University started in 2001, with all students participating in the program receiving credits for their studies overseas under the government-funded scholarship. So far 97 RMIT undergraduate students selected across various disciplines from the 3 RMIT academic colleges have participated in the YAAD program. They form as a team during their overseas semester in China. Upon completion of the program many of the past YAAD students obtained internship or employment experience. Some are now working in Australian Government organisations or global companies in China, and undertaking further studies at postgraduate level in China.
