Programs

The Language program team is formed by native speaking and non-native speaking teachers who have extensive experience in student centred language education. RMIT creates a high quality teaching environment in which students are encouraged to obtain knowledge beyond the classroom.

Our staff employ a range of innovative teaching strategies including:

  • Computer-assisted language learning,
  • Class discussion,
  • Group projects work,
  • Lectures (including regular guest lecturers), and
  • Role play and simulation exercises.

Focus is given to delivering classes in the language being learnt and classes are kept small to encourage full student participation and engagement. Students may also have the opportunity to participate in overseas study tours and cultural exchanges to further enrich the cultural experience of studying a language.
