WPS Notes for Contributors
-
Submissions must be formatted according to the WPS formatting guidelines.
- At least one of the authors of a submission must be associated with RMIT’s School of Global Studies, Social Science and Planning.
- The WPS should not be viewed as a replacement for publication in a scholarly journal, but as a way of making research available, normally as a complement to formal publication or with a view to it being published at a later stage.
- We are interested in material that the author believes would benefit from exposure before being submitted for refereed publication, and that would be of benefit to others who might access it.
- Papers should be of 4000 to 8000 words in length (special cases may be negotiated with the editors).
- All material will be published electronically and made available on the GSSSP Working Paper Series website (see Current Working Papers).
- Papers need to be stand-alone entities, not simply segments of theses or books.
- Once received, working papers will be read by an academic working in a related area to determine their suitability for the WPS, generally someone from within the school, although external readers may be used (papers will not be subject to blind peer review).
- The decision of the editorial group in accepting or rejecting a submission for publication in the WPS is final.
- The editor and the members of the editorial group are available to discuss potential working papers with authors.
-
Papers are to be submitted electronically by emailing them to the editor at susie.elliott@rmit.edu.au.
