This edited collection of refereed papers draws on a number of presentations to the 2nd Annual Women and Work Conference at RMIT University in September 2005. The papers explore women’s participation in the paid workforce in Australia and in other countries in the Asia Pacific region. The broad topic of ‘women and work’ is explored from very different perspectives through a focus concerns relating to women and international development, the persistence of sex discrimination in representations of women and in employment in Australia, and gender equity in organisational and workplace cultures. This book was published in 2006.
