Academic conferences and symposia form a key part of the School’s contribution to scholarly dialogue.
Events like the Asian Cities Symposium and Singapore Symposium, 2007 underline our commitment to engaging with the Asia Pacific region. Hosting events like the Film and History Association conference and the celebrated annual Design event Character mean the School is an essential part of the local cultural scene.
The School also publishes the refereed journal Southern Review: Communication, Politics & Culture.

AFI Research Collection
The AFI Research Collection is an important national archive housing a diverse collection of Australian and international resources in film and television. It is a valued part of the School and gives both students and the general public access to books and journals, as well as documents of significant historical interest.
