The International Management group of the School of Applied Communication at RMIT University is charged with developing relationships with academic institutions worldwide, and attracting international students to the School's programs.

Headed by International Projects Coordinator Peter Sorenson, the group convenes monthly to ensure communication between all stakeholders in the School and University, including:

  • International Marketing and International Admissions
  • Portfolio Marketing
  • School Selection staff and program leaders, and staff
  • Overseas Educational Institutions
  • International Educational Agents
  • International applicants

Initiatives have included visits by academic staff and the International Projects Coordinator to academic institutions and educational fairs in Asia and Europe. These visits ensure that students worldwide are aware of the opportunities provided by the School of Applied Communication. Dozens of international students make the journey to Melbourne each year to experience a unique educational experience.

International relationships are also enhanced by ongoing communication with our international almuni. These links form a bridge for current students when they seek international work and study opportunities.
