Advanced Diploma of Fine Arts

The School of Art at RMIT University is offering a new flexible and individually focused studio-based Program for local and international students. It is offered full-time over one year and part-time over two years.
The Advanced Diploma of Fine Arts caters for students who have undertaken prior study and who may have had a range of experiences in any of the creative arts and design fields, and seek to develop a focused contemporary fine art practice.

Program Overview

Students who gain entry:

Students are guided through individual projects, culminating in an exhibition project work in individual studios with 24 hour access at the City campus located in the heart of central Melbourne, within walking distance of most major cultural institutions, museums and galleries. Experience individual tutorial advice and personal guidance from academic staff that have substantial national profiles as practising artists. Students will have access to formal lectures on contemporary art once a week and are exposed to visiting international artists through the School of Art Artist in Residence Program (AIRP). Students are offered specialist electives, but may also choose to work in a multidisciplinary field. Upon completion of the Advanced Diploma, students may seek pathway opportunities within the School of Art, gaining access to higher academic study.

Fees:

The full time tuition fee for The Advanced Diploma of Fine Arts is $8,500 for Australian citizens and $11,520 for international applicants.
