Cultural Events

The Centre has organised and supported major cultural events in the past and especially during the Antipodes Festival. The activities were very successful events attracting hundreds of people and school students. These events became possible with the strong support of community organisations (Greek Community of Melbourne) as well as academic agencies (eg. ANU, National Europe Centre, Centre of European Studies, RMIT Globalism Institute, Alliance Française) enhancing community and corporate partnerships.

Some examples of our activities are:

• The ASIO book launch in February 2002 funded by FELCS.
• The 3rd Greek Book Exhibition co-organised by AHEPA in April 2002.
• The provision of consultation and translation services to the SAE Women Exhibition on migrant women, Victorian Immigration Museum, September 2002.
• The Poetry night presented by Dennis Sikiotis in March 2003.
