Temporary accommodation can be organised for your first week in Melbourne by RMIT International. Reservations must be forwarded on our booking form before you arrive in Australia.

The places listed below offer a range of inexpensive accommodation choices close to RMIT City Campus. You pay for your temporary accommodation when you arrive (unless stated otherwise). Some temporary accommodation may require credit card to secure a booking. Rates are subject to increase during public holidays and special event.
Please note: if you choose to stay at RMIT Village Old Melbourne you must apply online directly through RMIT Village. Once the accommodation has been organised; complete the online arrival service form to request airport pickup.

Located a leisurely 12 minute walk from the RMIT City Campus, and also easily accessed via tram, RMIT Village sets a very high standard in student accommodation. RMIT Village has been designed to create a friendly village atmosphere with landscaped gardens, open spaces and community meeting areas for residents.
Some of the features of the rooms include: in built LCD flat screen TV; sliding privacy walls; security compartment inside wardrobes; kitchenette with fridge, two burner hotplate and microwave; ensuite includes a bath and shower. The Village also has a café/ bar; outdoor heated pool; BBQ area; small gymnasium and undercover car parking.
The Residential Assistance Program also provides a wide range of student support and student life programs that have been developed by senior residents with very diverse activities ranging from a variety of sporting teams to study groups and cultural and craft pursuits.

Located in the heart of the city, across the road from the RMIT Business Building, Chinatown and a 5 – 10 minute walk to RMIT city campus. Economy room facilities include television, refrigerator, heating, fan, hand basin and mirror, shared bathroom facilities, tea and coffee making facilities and direct dial telephone. Towels and linen are provided and rooms are serviced daily. Guest services include 24 hour reception, foreign currency exchange, security deposit, coin operated laundry, dry cleaning service, public telephones, fax and message services, tour bookings and car hire, Internet Café, Pool, Gym and Sauna.
NOTE: Check-in time is 2.00 pm. Check out time is 11.00 am.There is no guarantee a room will be available prior to 2.00 pm unless you have booked a room for the previous night.
