RMIT objects can be uploaded and accessed from the Media Assets Management System (MAMS). RMIT Staff need to be logged into the website and have editing rights. More information is available by following the link to How to store media objects.

The Educational Media Group provides a central service to the University producing a range of media formats.
BlackBoard and other DLS tools allow you to publish Learning Objects for use in online teaching. Where you want to use the learning object in more than one course you might be able to link to the object in MAMS saving the need to maintain duplicate copies and saving space on the DLS storage system. Enacted is a locally developed tool in the DLSbased on the concept of guided questioning which allows the embedding of Media objects into a series of pathways

When using Learning Objects where the copyright is not owned by RMIT, you need to ensure your use of the Learning Object adheres to copyright law.Before using a Learning Object take careful note of its terms of use, copyright or license requirements before you proceed.If the terms and conditions / copyright requirements are not completely clear contact the Copyright Management Service.
