Centre for Applied Social ResearchThe Centre for Applied Social Research conducts high quality research with a focus on the restructuring of employment and social welfare and aims to promote informed public discussion about these policy areas.
Centre for DesignThe Centre for Design at RMIT is recognised internationally as leading the development of an environmentally based design methodology for sustainable development. The Centre’s mission is to conduct an integrated program of interdisciplinary research, consulting, education and training to promote and demonstrate the role of innovation, design and progressive environmental management in achieving a sustainable future for Australia.
Microelectronics and Materials Technology CentreThe Microelectronics and Materials Technology Centre specialises in microelectronics and materials research and supports a range of major multi-disciplinary research programs and industry related projects in integrated optics, photonic systems, sensors, micro electromechanical systems (MEMS) and RF technology.
Rheology and Materials Processing CentreThe Rheology and Materials Processing Centre is a leading centre for materials and processing research in Australia, specialising in polymer processing, rheology, slurries and multi-phase mixtures. The main function of the Centre is to conduct fundamental and applied research leading to industrial and commercial applications.
Sir Lawrence Wackett Centre for Aerospace Design TechnologySir Lawrence Wackett Aerospace Centre aims to create a new intellectual property in partnership with industry, through research and design that addresses real world issues, for commercial use and development. The Wackett Aerospace Centre is a Joint Centre of the School of Aerospace, Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering and the School of Mathematics and Geospatial Sciences.
