About Cell Biology and Anatomy

"Biosciences" Cell Biology and Anatomy is an exciting and rapidly developing field. If you are interested in learning more about genetic engineering, DNA profiling and stem cell research, you should consider a career in biomedical science.

Cell Biology and Anatomy is the discipline that forms the basis of our understanding of how human (and animal) bodies function and the responses of the body to various diseases, exercise, diet, internal aberrations and environmental influences.

At RMIT University, Cell Biology and Anatomy supports:

  • Undergraduate teaching in the Bachelor of Biomedical Science and the Bachelor of Applied Science (Pharmaceutical Sciences) programs, and to a lesser extent in all other undergraduate programs in the School of Medical Sciences, as well as in the Chinese Medicine, Osteopathy, Chiropractic and Nursing programs
  • Research supervision in the Biomedical Science, Pharmaceutical Sciences and Laboratory Medicine Honours programs
  • Research supervision in the School of Medical Sciences Masters and PhD research programs
  • Research activities into Cardiovascular Disease, Neuroscience and Neuropharmacology, Skin Cancer, Microvascular Research, Wound Healing, Cell biology, Anatomy and Physiology

More information about study and research in Cell Biology and Anatomy is available through the Programs and Courses and Research Specialties areas of the web site.

We invite you to contact the School of Medical Sciences at any time to discuss learning, teaching, research and related opportunities in Cell Biology and Anatomy.
