Continuing Professional Development in Laboratory Medicine

"Professional Development"

Keeping Current in a Rapidly Changing World

Maintaining and updating skills in the rapidly changing field of Laboratory Medicine is a high priority for both the individuals engaged in this field and their employers. The Discipline of Laboratory Medicine within the School of Medical Science recognises the importance of Continuing Professional Development for members of the profession and has developed a program of short courses and workshops that cover many of the specialities in Laboratory Medicine.

All of our courses and workshops are accredited by the Australian Institute of Medical Scientists as part of the institutes APACE program. The APACE points for each activity are indicated on the certificate provided to participants on completion of the course.

Unless indicated otherwise, all activities are conducted on the RMIT Bundoora campus.

Participants from outside Melbourne who require accommodation are able to get special discount rates at convenient locations close to the campus. Download an accommodation brochure (PDF 208KB 2p).

All activities have a minimum and maximum number of participants to ensure an optimum learning environment. Early registration for all activities is encouraged to ensure your place in the course. Registration is through RMIT Training and can be done online. Programs that do not meet the minimum number of participants will be cancelled and registrants advised no later than two weeks before the commencing date of the program.
