Re-enrolment information for continuing Computer Science and IT students

Log in to Enrolment Online

Re-enrolment for the 2008 academic year: All re-enrolling students will receive a Welcome Back mail pack from 4 October with details about re-enrolment. You should carefully read all of the information provided in your Welcome Back pack.

You should also note the following important information:


Re-enrolment deadline – 5.00pm, 14 December 2007

Enrolment Online is scheduled to open for 2008 enrolments from Monday 15 October to 5.00 pm Friday 14 December. You will need your program summary for the list of courses available for your program in 2008.

You must also contact your advisor to obtain academic advice and authorisation for your course selections and any enrolment variations.

Note: If you do not re-enrol by 5.00pm on 14 December:

  • You will incur the late re-enrolment fee of $175.
  • The late re-enrolment negative service indicator will be added to your student record and you will not be permitted to re-enrol until you have paid the fee.
  • Undergraduate students may also risk losing their study place for 2008.

VERY IMPORTANT: You must enrol in both Semesters 1 and 2; otherwise, it would be deemed that you have not completed your re-enrolment and you will incur the late re-enrolment fee.

Re-enrolment – academic advice and authorisation

Prior to re-enrolling, contact your advisor to obtain academic advice and authorisation for your course selections. You should ideally contact your advisor after the release of results on 26 November 2007.

If you fail a course/s you must contact your advisor immediately to revise your course selections.

If you are not going to be contactable or will not be in Melbourne after 26 November 2007, you must contact your advisor earlier.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS: You must meet your advisor before you enrol online as incorrect course choices can affect your compliance with visa requirements. Your advisor’s authorisation will ensure that your course selections will enable you to complete in minimum time.

LOCAL STUDENTS: You should contact your advisor to make sure your enrolment will meet your program requirements.

Semester 2, 2007 results available from 26 November 2007

From Monday, 26 November 2007, you can access your Semester 2, 2007 results via Enrolment Online – simply log in and click on the Results menu option under the Academic History heading. You can view your results listed by course and date.

Enrolment variations

Enrolment Online will close at 5.00 pm on Friday 14 December and re-open on Tuesday 15 January 2008 for continuing students to vary their enrolment. You must get your adviser's authorisation before adding or dropping any courses.

Note that Enrolment Online does not let you withdraw from all courses in a semester; to do this you must apply for a Leave of Absence for that semester, or cancel out of the program.

Note also the deadlines and semester dates for enrolment variations.

Summer Semester (January 2008) enrolment

Re-enrolling students who wish to enrol in a Summer course will need to complete your 2008 Enrolment Online checklist by 14 December 2007 before submitting a signed Summer course selection template. For more information, go to www.cs.rmit.edu.au/enrolments/summer.
