Traditional and Complementary Medicine Research Group
The RMIT Chinese Medicine Research Group (RCMRG) commenced its research activities in 1994 and was formally established in 2001 with dedicated staff and laboratories.
Goals
- To evaluate efficacy and safety of acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine;
- To establish quality control procedures for Chinese herbal medicine;
- To illustrate mechanisms and actions for Chinese herbal medicine and acupuncture for the management of common clinical conditions and
- To promote public awareness of evidence-based Chinese herbal medicine and acupuncture practice.
People
The RCMRG team includes one professor, two associate professors, two visiting scholars, two postdoctoral research fellows and twenty four postgraduate students.
