Director TAFE

The Director TAFE, Mr Allan Ballagh, is responsible for the development of RMIT’s TAFE profile and activities. This role is a member of the Vice Chancellor’s executive management team and is expected to provide leadership and expert advice to the portfolios on the provision of vocational education within the university to meet the needs of its clients.

Key to this strategic leadership position is ensuring the development of capacity within RMIT to innovate in vocational education provision and pedagogy. The Director TAFE is responsible for:

• Leading stronger industry engagement in vocational education provision and innovation.
• Developing enhanced international activity in TAFE in collaboration with the International portfolio.
• Promoting the University's vocational education capabilities internally and externally, locally and internationally.
