RMIT’s Managed Operating Environment

A Managed Operating Environment (MOE) is the implementation of standard hardware and software on all computers within an organisation. The RMIT’s MOE extends to both Windows and Apple Macintosh environments.

There are many benefits associated with a MOE including:

• A standard ‘look and feel’ wherever a user is logged in
• A clear framework for IT staff to implement and support hardware and software

• Minimising the time taken to install new computers
• Expediting the resolution of issues with existing computers.
