Canadian Indigenous Arts Residency Opportunity In 2011, an annual Indigenous arts residency exchange partnership commenced between the RMIT School of Art and the University of Lethbridge in Alberta, Canada. Applications for the Canadian residency are being sought from Indigenous artists (with or without a pre-existing affiliation to RMIT University).

Austrian Residency Opportunity for RMIT Staff, Students, and Alumni In 2007 an annual residency exchange partnership began between the RMIT School of Art and the Krems International Studio Residency Program. The Krems residency is located in a town located directly on the Danube river in the Wachau region of Lower Austria.

14/06/2012 Indigenous arts residency exchange The School of Art’s international Artist in Residence Program—iAIR—in collaboration with the University of Lethbridge’s Gushul Studios hosts an annual Indigenous residency exchange between Canada and Australia. These reciprocal residencies have been established to foster an increased mobility for artists and promote cross-cultural exchange and dialogue.

Artist-in-Residence in Iceland to pursue research interest in art and climate change 16/05/2012 Following her presentation at the Art in Translation conference at the University of Iceland in Reykjavik, Professor Lesley Duxbury who is Deputy Head, Research and Innovation in the School of Art, will travel to north-east Iceland to take up a month long artist-in-residence at the Listhus in the small, remote community of Olafsfjordur.
