Quality Consulting Unit

The Quality Consulting Unit (QCU) is part of the Policy and Planning Group at RMIT. QCU provides advice and assistance in developing and implementing quality assurance and improvement. QCU provides advise and supports senior level decision making about quality assurance, as well as developing systems and processes for effective planning, review, monitoring and improvement of activities.

Organisational Reviews

Organisational Reviews are an internal process that provides a mechanism for external and internal evaluation of the management and operation of each area or school of RMIT within a 7 year review cycle.

Offshore Program Delivery Reviews

Offshore program reviews are an internal process aim to identify food practices in place as well as opportunities for improvement to inform contract negotiations and assure quality of RMIT’s programs offshore.

VQF Internal Reviews (formerly AQTF)

Practices and processes to align with the provisions of the VET Quality Framework (VQF) (formerly AQTF) have been refined and implemented at RMIT since introduction of the framework in 2002.

External Regulatory and Quality Frameworks

The external regulatory and quality assurance environment that RMIT exists in has recently undergone significant change. 2011 and 2012 has seen the introduction of a new Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) and the establishment of the Australian Skills Quality Agency (ASQA), as well as the Tertiary Education and Quality Standards Agency (TEQSA). In parallel responsibility for overseeing ESOS compliance and CRICOS registration has shifted to these agencies.
