  • Visualisation resources include a Virtual Reality Centre, a design exhibition space, Graphics Visualisation Computers, an Immersive Theatre and more.

  • Design Hub will provide facilities, accommodation and a collegial research base for RMIT’s diverse range of design initiatives, design research groups and postgraduate programs.

  • RMIT gallery Presenting International and Australian art, exploring all aspects of visual culture, including fashion, architecture, fine art, jewellery, new media and technology. RMIT presents regular floor talks, lectures, discussion, public events and publications to coincide with the exhibitions.

There are a range of other specific facilities, equipment and spaces that can be found in each of the colleges and schools. Including:

  • Aerospace, Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering (SAMME) school within the College of Science, Engineering and Health has developed a range of advanced facilities to support its research efforts. Research facilities, located at RMIT’s Bundoora East and City campuses include Advanced Manufacturing Laboratories, Aerodynamics Laboratories, Material Testing Laboratory and more.

  • Microelectronics and Materials Technology Centre located in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the City Campus the MMTC houses an extensive range of fabrication, deposition and characterisation equipment. Fabrication services are also provided to research institutes, organisations, and industry.

  • The Rheology and Materials Processing Centre has pilot scale facilities in polymer processing, multi-phase mixing and pipeline transport that gives RMPC impressive scope to handle demanding development projects involving both ‘hard science’ and ‘industrial applications’.
