Strategies and priorities
Learning and teaching at RMIT are driven by the University's strategic plans, as well as our commitment to specific priority areas.
Strategies
Priorities
-
Work-integrated learning (WIL) activities integrate academic learning with the workplace, allowing students to apply recently acquired knowledge, learn new professional skills and develop generic attributes such as interpersonal skills in work and organisational settings.
-
RMIT’s e-Learning Advancement Program (REAP) seeks to improve staff, institutional and student capabilities through three initiatives: providing a minimum online presence, enhancing learning environments and adopting active learning.
-
Indigenous education is a vital part of RMIT's learning and teaching activities, with substantial numbers of indigenous students enrolled in TAFE and Higher Education programs, and indigenous perspectives explored in various curricula.
-
Academic integrity is fundamental to the scholarship undertaken by all members of the RMIT community.
