Minimum English language requirement

School leavers

If you are applying for an RMIT undergraduate program and your most recent qualification is the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) or the Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL), you must have:

Bachelor degrees

  • a minimum of 30 in VCE English as a Second Language or a minimum of 25 in any other VCE English study (except for SNAP applicants)

Associate degrees

  • a minimum of 25 in VCE English as a Second Language or a minimum of 20 in any other VCE English study.

SNAP applicants (bachelor and associate degrees)

  • a minimum of 25 in VCE English as a Second Language or a minimum of 20 in any other VCE English study.

If your most recent relevant qualification is interstate year 12, New Zealand year 12, the International Baccalaureate or international year 12 you will need to demonstrate achievement equivalent to the relevant minimum VCE English study score.

International applicants
