Melbourne Graduation Parade
The RMIT University Graduation Parade launches our graduation celebrations in Melbourne. Each year sees more than 2000 graduands, staff and alumni, dressed in academic robes, strut their stuff through the CBD.
The 2014 Graduation Parade will take place on Wednesday 17 December from 9.30 am.
- Participants assemble on the City Campus in Bowen Street at 9.30 am.
- The parade departs at 10 am to proceed along Swanston Street to Federation Square for an official welcome by the City of Melbourne at 10.45 am.
All graduating RMIT students are invited to take part in the parade.
If your school confirms that you have successfully completed your program and can graduate, you can attend the Melbourne Graduation Parade, regardless of whether you plan to attend the Melbourne Graduation Ceremony or graduate in absentia.
Register to be in the parade
- If you are attending the Melbourne Graduation Ceremony you need to register for the parade when you confirm your attendance at the ceremony, which you must do between Monday 29 September and Friday 24 October.
- If you wish to attend the parade only, you need to log into the Graduation Database to register your attendance between Monday 29 September and Friday 24 October.
